Stephen the Robot

In the year 2046, the robots lived in a country that had a Great Economic Depression. Stephen the robot went to find a new prosperous planet to solve his planet's lack food and oil. This country of robots is a story set in a fictional World. At present we on Earth face a similar situation as Stephen's - a need for food and oil.

Because Stephen was a robot, he didn't eat food like humans - his "food" was oil!
Stephen's quest for oil is like our need for energy stocks and other natural resources, both of which are quickly disappearing. Like Stephen, what do we need to know in order to conserve our valuable natural resources?
